| Banner'’s insurance services support Global Connection’s members
Membership of the Global Connection network provides organisations with many support services, and the benefits of one in particular - access to discounted medical and travel insurance from Banner Financial Services Group Ltd - have been highlighted by the recent experience of a large mission organisation This particular organisation set up an annual Group scheme for their medical and travel insurance with Banner in 2005. They were delighted with the simplicity of the scheme administration, which required just one master certificate, with each insured member of staff given the same policy number but a different suffix. They also found that if they needed to add new staff to the policy during the scheme year then no payment was required until the end of the policy period. The reduction in time spent on administration, and the savings made as a consequence of the discounted group rate they qualified for, allowed the organisation to focus all their energies on their key goals and objectives. The success of the annual Group scheme, and the trust established with Banner, has encouraged the organisation to consider setting up group policy cover for their short-term missions scheduled in September, as the policies operate in exactly the same way, with just the policy term amended accordingly. Normally when arranging travel and medical insurance you would expect to be asked to complete medical screening questionnaires for each applicant. However Banner, wishing to streamline and simplify the enrolment process, recognises that many member agencies take responsibility for their staff and volunteers by implementing their own medical screening procedure before sending them overseas. Consequently if Banner is satisfied with the organisation’s own good practices no further screening is required. |
