About Us
Banner Financial Services Group Ltd. have been providing specialist international travel and medical expenses insurance cover, for individuals of all nationalities working and living outside of their country of domicile, for over fifteen years.
Founded in 1992 by John Jones and Howard Tingley, the company grew gradually to a level that saw them issue several thousand specialist policies each year. Both continue to be actively committed to the promotion and growth of Banner. However, John now devotes the majority of his time to preaching in South America, whilst Howard has continued working with NGO's and also the Norwegian and Macedonian governments.
Lord Alton of Liverpool, a former MP and current independent cross-bench life peer of the House of Lords is Banner’s Chairman. He has been heavily involved in overseas aid throughout his political career and has worked with Banner since 1998.
Ownership of Banner was passed to the R3: Group in January 2006, which has helped Banner develop on a number of levels. Banner is now able to make increased charitable donations, develop their product range more fully and service the needs of the NGO sector more extensively.
